Curt is an attorney and investment advisor with more than 25 years in impact investment consulting and wealth management for family foundations and family offices.
Curt was the founder and CEO of Princeton Social Capital in 2004 which reorganized in 2011 to become Impact Investment Leaders. He has had as his clients some of the nation’s largest banks, foundations and nonprofit organizations. Before PSC he was the National Director of Foundations and Strategic Philanthropy at Merrill Lynch where he oversaw ML’s administrative services and strategic grant-making and governance consulting to more than 5,000 private foundations nationwide. At ML he also served as a Director of the Family Office Group with responsibility over offices in Manhattan, New Jersey, Houston and Austin where he oversaw ML’s wealth management services to some of America’s wealthiest families. His first role at ML was as Senior Vice President of ML Trust where he trained ML’s trust officers in philanthropic financial planning and supported them in providing these services to high net worth families.
Additionally, Curt has served as faculty for Cannon Financial Institute, the largest trainer of trust officers in the world, where he created and taught the curriculum for a course on Foundations and Strategic Philanthropy . He has also been part of the faculty at New York University’s Institute on Federal Taxation and authored numerous articles for national trade journals and textbooks dealing with effective foundation management. He is a frequent keynote speaker on impact giving, planned giving and estate planning.
